Outrageous! May 29, 2008 David C. Delany 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have router bits for repetitive and routine work, typically costing $50 to $100 each. Yukon Tools will not replace them. For half the price of a cheaper bit, this kit includes nearly every small bit you may need for that unusual or small job. They are true, cut well for a while, and have not broken on me during occasional use. At a dollar each, these router bits fill every possible expectation and then some. If you want to run molding for your whole house, expect durability for 50 mortises, or build a dozen kitchen cabinets, buy the right tool, but these might be the best bang for the buck in the tool market today. In my opinion, Yukon Tools supplies an outrageously excellent deal.
I love this set! April 14, 2004 glen schmidt (CA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I read the other review and had to say that my set has preformed flawless. Ran 200 Board feet of oak trim. No problem never burned once. Box was damaged in shipping and the company sent out a new one in 2days!
Much better then the price would lead you to believe May 3, 2008 D. M. Harman 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this before a decking project as I intended to put some unusual corners and edges throughout the project to break up the line and give some visual appeal. While I've used 5 different bits, by far and away the most used was the 45 degree bevel. This bit has done over 1200 feet of 1/2" edge bevels in wet pressure treated 2x6's and is still going. The bearing is getting rough at this point, and the blade edge is getting dull, but it probably has another 300 to 400 feet in it. A quarter mile of work before failure makes this set worth the price in that one bit.
About $2 a bit. C'mon. How can you hate? May 25, 2009 M. Armstrong 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Another reviewer sharply noted that this set is a fantastic purchase, but only if you understand what you're buying. I tend to overbuy my tools, so buying some crappy bits made me hesitant. Truthfully, no, these aren't the kinds of bits you'll want to start a cabinet shop with. They are probably better than you'd expect and for the price, it's so much better to at least *have* the bit on hand rather than just try to "get by" with the wrong bit.
I will say, however, buy a "good" flush trim bit. It's by far the most used bit in my arsenal and I won't trust a Yukon tool here.
Nice set and they are lasting real well October 13, 2005 mr tool shop (Kansas) 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I choose this set over the hickoy set at home depot becase the price was less and it has better bits with more bearing options.
I made trim, and a counter top. I will use them for making a sign next. I loaned them to my friend and he bought his own set.
